  • JOURNEY was designed to proclaim the love of God which comes to us through Jesus Christ and to proclaim it in a way that, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, we can accept that love. The teams that minister the renewal weekends were formed to proclaim God’s Good News of love. Through God’s grace and mercy, every parishioner is offered an opportunity for a total interior renewal.

  • The retreat weekend will include small group activities and interactions, prayer and reflections shared by members of the parish team. You may expect an opportunity, in a relaxed setting, to hear Christ's call to you and to respond to His call to a deeper and closer relationship with God.

  • The two-day retreat weekend begins early on Saturday morning (usually about 7:30 a.m.) and ends mid-afternoon on Sunday. You will be sleeping overnight at the parish. All meals are provided and you will fulfill your Sunday Mass obligation as part of the weekend.

  • There is no cost to attend a JOURNEY weekend or to host JOURNEY at your parish.

  • Anyone over 18 years of age, Catholic or non-Catholic is invited to attend a JOURNEY Retreat.

  • To sign up for a Journey weekend at your parish, visit our sign up page. Once you select your parish, you will be able to sign up for upcoming scheduled retreats.

  • All of the men and women at your parish are invited to attend a retreat. You may see many familiar faces at your JOURNEY retreat. The weekend offers time to get to know your fellow retreatants and many people find that they leave with a new community within their parish.

  • Your Sunday Mass obligation will be fulfilled while on a JOURNEY retreat.

  • The dress at a JOURNEY weekend is comfortable and casual. A member of the JOURNEY team from your parish will send you more information specific to your parish after you register for a retreat.
